The Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre
is Owen Sound´s multi-use recreational facility

  

Built in 1983 and extensively renovated in 2003, the Bayshore Community Centre offers a wide range of facilities , amenities and services. Banquet halls, meetings rooms, an arena and 900 parking spaces ensure that any size of gathering can be hosted in style.

Situated on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay, the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre is named after Stanley Cup award winning goalie and native son Harry Lumley . He won the 1950 Stanley Cup while netminder for Detroit, and in 1954 won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s outstanding goaltender.

That hockey heritage is alive and well at the Bayshore Community Centre, which is home to the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League. Every Saturday night is hockey night in Owen Sound, and fans pack the arena’s three thousand seats to cheer on the local club.
